Naming Ceremonies — Starting at $200

A sacred celebration of becoming.

Names carry stories. They can welcome us into the world, connect us to family and community, mark a transformation, or give language to the person we've discovered ourselves to be.

A Naming Ceremony is a personalized ritual honoring a name and the person who carries it. These ceremonies can welcome a new child, celebrate an adoption or blended family, honor a chosen name, affirm a new chapter of identity, or simply create sacred space around the act of becoming.

There is no single right reason to hold a Naming Ceremony. If your name—or the name of someone you love—deserves to be celebrated, we can create a ritual to honor it.

Your Ceremony May Include

• A personalized, custom-written ceremony

• Blessing and presentation of the name

• Poetry, readings, music, or storytelling

• Candle, water, earth, or other elemental rituals

• Anointing or blessing rituals

• Participation from family, chosen family, friends, or community

• Spiritual, Pagan, witchcraft, interfaith, or secular elements

• Family or cultural traditions meaningful to you

• Keepsake elements incorporated into the ceremony

Every ceremony is created around the individual, their story, and the meaning this moment holds.

Consultation & Pricing

Naming Ceremonies start at $200, with final pricing based on the length and complexity of the ceremony, customization, location, and any additional ritual elements requested.

A $50 consultation is required before booking your ceremony. During our consultation, we'll talk about the person being honored, the significance of their name, your vision for the ceremony, who will be participating, and any traditions or ritual elements you'd like included.

If you choose to book your Naming Ceremony with me, the full $50 consultation fee will be credited toward your ceremony price.

Purchasing a consultation does not reserve a ceremony date. Your requested date is reserved only after we've completed the consultation, agreed to work together, and the required ceremony booking payment has been received.

Travel

Travel within 15 miles of North Bend, Washington is included.

Additional travel fees apply outside the local service area:

• 16–25 miles: $25

• 26–35 miles: $45

• Extended Western Washington service area: $75

My extended service area is generally bounded by Everett to the north, JBLM/Lakewood to the south, the Kitsap Peninsula to the west, and Snoqualmie Pass to the east.

Ferry fares, tolls, or other unusual travel expenses may be additional when applicable. Locations outside my normal Western Washington service area may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Before You Book

We'll begin with your consultation so I can learn about the person we're honoring and the significance of this moment.

From there, I'll create a ceremony designed specifically for them—not simply to announce a name, but to recognize, affirm, and celebrate the person who carries it.
